MayView Board of Directors

MayView’s Board of Directors includes many patients of MayView clinic as well as community members who bring their skills in finance, marketing, information technology, fund development, and health care management. We welcome interest from anyone – especially from our patient community – who would like to be considered for service and membership on the MayView Board of Directors.

Zach Landes

Read Bio

Zach holds a BA from Emory University, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and conducted doctoral studies at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. Currently, he works in data analysis at Gracenote and, prior to that, he was a product manager at Walmart Labs and a successful technology entrepreneur. Zach is also a published economist and a Sunnyvale native.

Dr. Sang-ick Chang is a practicing family physician and Professor of Medicine, Division Chief of Primary Care & Population Health, Associate Dean for Primary Care at Stanford School of Medicine, and Chief Medical Officer for Stanford Health Care Advantage, Stanford’s Medicare managed care health plan. In his tenure at Stanford, he has helped develop primary care, geriatrics, palliative care, employer-based primary care, population health and quality programs for Stanford medicine. Before coming to Stanford, Dr. Chang spent over two decades as a physician and a health system administrator in county-run safety net health systems in the bay area, and has held roles including VP Ambulatory, Chief Quality Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Executive Officer. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard, his medical degree from UCSF, a MPH from UC Berkeley, and completed his medical residency in family medicine at UCSF/SFGH. He speaks passible Korean and medical Spanish.

Sandra has been a grateful client of MayView since 2004. In 2007, she joined the board as a way to help MayView better achieve its mission. Sandra brings a background in hospital administration, MPH degree, and business experience to the board. She is managing partner of Growth Sherpas, a consulting firm specializing in streamlining human performance in small and medium-sized businesses.

Unmesh Agarwala is Vice President of Advanced Technology at Juniper Networks in Sunnyvale and has previously held leadership positions at Silicon Graphics, Tandem Computers at Intel. He manages worldwide teams and has a lot of operational experience in Technology companies. With the emergence of the Affordable Care Act, he has become even more interested in applying his experience to healthcare issues.

Dr. Mike Fischetti, MD

Mike is a retired Kaiser oncologist. While at Kaiser he received a Masters in Public Health from U.C. Berkeley, was Chief of Preventive Medicine and Health Education, and Founder and Director of Hospice. Dr. Fischetti has served as the President of Loaves and Fishes Family Kitchen in San Jose. He is an active advocate for health care and serves on the Santa Clara County Health Advisory Commission, is an advisor to the Health and Hospital Committee of Santa Clara County, and is on the Board of Directors of Hope’s Corner.

Walt is a Supply, Systems & Hazardous Materials Management professional serving Silicon Valley firms for over 20 years. He has a Master of Science in Procurement & Contracts Management as well as a Bachelor in Science in Business Administration from San Jose State University. Walt previously served as a board director for the Institute of Supply Management and currently holds the titles of Consultant & Managing Partner at Global Business Funding.

Maria Marroquin

Maria is the Executive Director of the Day Worker Center of Mountain View where she has worked for more than two decades providing services and advocating for the day laborer population. Her passion for advocacy began when she worked as a teacher’s union organizer in Mexico City.  In the U.S, Maria has worked tirelessly to organize and advocate, build community alliances, raise funds and work for reforms on the national, state and local level. Maria has received several community awards and in 2016, she received the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce Athena International award for leadership.

Akshaya has over ten years of experience in the global technology and business sectors. In addition to founding a game development startup in his native India, Akshaya has developed and implemented strategic business transformation programs in the healthcare, pharmaceutical and insurance domains. He was previously responsible for membership and revenue growth as a board member for an arts non-profit in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Baldeep Singh, MD

Dr. Singh is a clinical Professor and is the Clinical Chief in Internal Medicine at Stanford in the division of Primary Care and Population Health.  As a clinical education for 25 years, his focus has been on health care delivery and medical education and has held many leadership roles related to this.  Following residency, he spent three years working in a Northeast Los Angeles clinic. He then joined the faculty at UCLA where he was a clinician educator and was director of the UCLA resident clinic at Venice Family Clinic, the largest free clinic in the US, before coming to Stanford. His educational interests include Internal Medicine medical education and underserved populations in Primary Care.

Dr. Tiscareno is the Medical Director of Life Connections at Cisco, an employee-based clinic through Stanford Health Care.  Additionally, she works as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford School of Medicine. She received her B.A. in Biology from UC Santa Cruz in 1993 and later attended the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1997. She completed her residency training at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and is board certified in Internal Medicine. Throughout her career, she has developed a passion for managing and creating a place to deliver high quality, compassionate care. Maria thoroughly enjoys giving back to her community and has continuously acted as a leader and clinical expert in the healthcare field. She is known for her energy, patience and compassion towards patient care. She currently resides in Morgan Hill, CA.

Marilyn has a doctorate in public health from U.C. Berkeley. She is a Professor of Medicine, Emerita, Stanford Prevention Research Center at Stanford and is active with the Office of Community Health and the Stanford Medical Youth Science Program, which she founded. She works with the local schools and is an advocate for the homeless through her work at Hope’s Corner in Mountain View. She has lived in Mountain View for 30 years.
