Become a Ravenswood Family Health Network Board Member!
We are looking for current patients or parents of current patients at our MayView clinic sites in Palo Alto, Mountain View, or Sunnyvale to join our Ravenswood Family Health Netword Board! Are you passionate about improving the health of your community? If you answered “Yes”, please consider exploring this exciting opportunity! Learn more about what being a Board Member entails by visiting Ravenswood's volunteer page and viewing our Board Recruitment Brochure.
From the beginning in 1972, the MayView Board of Directors has been comprised of all community volunteers who bring their skills in finance, marketing, information technology, fund development, and health care management. They have had the responsibility to sustain the clinics, find funding, select CEOs, establish Strategic Plans, evaluate the performance of the corporation, and assure quality of care for our patients. There have been hundreds of board members over the past 48 years. Each has given their time, made donations, and sweated the details of operating the clinic with pressures placed on all not-for-profit organizations — always more to do than the funding can accomplish.
The following individuals are volunteer leaders who gave many hours of their time and wisdom to help MayView meet its goals and ensure our patients have access to high-quality health care:
Zach Landes - Board President
Sang-ick Chang, MD - Vice President
Unmesh Agarwal - Treasurer
Sandra Florstedt - Secretary
Akshaya Murty - Audit Chair
Baldeep Singh, MD - Member
Maria Tiscareño, MD - QI Chair
Marilyn Winkleby - Personnel Chair
Michelle McGowen - Member
Walter Kimberling - Member
In 2018 the Board adopted new Bylaws to facilitate application to full Federally Qualified Health Center status. When the FQHC application was not approved in August 2019, MayView was able to quickly pivot to seek acquisition with nearby Ravenswood Family Health Center FQHC. The board understood that such a choice would require elimination of the MayView Board. Yet ongoing operations of the clinics and continuity of care for MayView patients was a higher priority. Our deepest appreciation goes to each board member for the 48-year legacy they represent, and the new vitality enabled for current clinic sites and the new expanded Ravenswood FQHC.
In April 2020, MayView clinics joined forces with Ravenswood Family Health Center and are now under the guidance of Ravenswood leadership. Please visit Ravenswood's site to learn more about the Ravenswood Family Health Network Board of Directors.
