Fees and Eligibility

MCHC accepts new patients who are insured through Medicare, Medi-Cal, Santa Clara Family Health Plan and Blue Cross Health Plan.  Uninsured patients are always welcome and service fees will be based on income and family size.  Uninsured patients may be eligible for discounts according to our Sliding Fee Scale.  There is at least a nominal charge for all services and MCHC is not a free clinic.  Patients who are privately insured are expected to seek care from their Health Plan or Health Network.

MCHC participates in Healthy Families, Healthy Kids, Cancer Detection Program (CDP), Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP), Family Planning Access Care and Treatment (FamPACT) and the GATEWAY program which guarantees access to preventive care for uninsured children. Please ask at Registry for assistance with applications for these programs.
